The Twisting of Grace

Dear Church Family, Greetings in Jesus’ name!

It is hard to believe that it is the middle of June already. Time seems to be flying by faster than ever. However, I am thoroughly enjoying the sunshine, blue skies, and warm weather - amen!

Patience for Harvest

Dear Church Family, Greetings in Jesus’ name!

Genesis 8:22: While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Seedtime and harvest, or the law of sowing and reaping, condition life. Everything is subject to the law of sowing and reaping. The law of sowing and reaping can work for us or against us.

For Such a Time as This

Dear Church Family,

Greetings in Jesus’ name!

Discord in the Body of Christ

Dear Church Family,

Greetings in Jesus’ name!

The Corinthian church had many issues that Paul dealt with in his epistle to them: irreverence at the communion table, sexual vice, and an apparent confusion between Christianity and the many philosophies that were present in Greek culture.

Accomplishing Your Goals

Dear Church Family, Greetings in Jesus name!

Christmas is upon us and will soon be past, and the opportunities of the New Year - with all of its potential and promise - will be ours.

Dear Church Family,

Greetings in Jesus’ name!

Dear Church Family,

Greetings in Jesus’ name!

The story of Abraham is powerful. The Book of Romans says that, against hope, Abraham believed in hope; and was fully persuaded that what God had promised, He would do. Abraham dared to believe God.

A Challenge to Fathers

Dear Church Family,

Greetings in Jesus’ name!

Leviticus 10:10-11 And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean; And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the LORD hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.

I want to speak to fathers in this edition. Aaron the priest is getting some instruction about how to conduct his priesthood. His charge from heaven was to make a difference between what is holy and unholy, clean and unclean; and to teach the nation’s children the statutes of the Lord.

The Work of the Holy Spirit

Dear Church Family,

Greetings in Jesus’ name!

Jesus revealed the Holy Spirit as the Comforter (John 14:16, 26; 15:26; 16:7). The Holy Spirit as our Comforter is a Helper - One who succors, aids, and assists. I heard a preacher long ago use a definition that I really liked: The Holy Spirit comes alongside and pulls with us.
