Do Not Quit

Dear Church Family,
Greetings in Jesus name!
I have been teaching a series on Sunday mornings titled “Conquering Life.” In this series I have wanted to deal with some foundational areas that seem to be more prevalent sources of warfare in people’s lives. I pray it has been a blessing to you.
Several years ago Dr. Barclay was telling a story about a young preacher who approached Lester Sumrall and asked him what his secret was to his longevity in ministry. Dr. Barclay said Lester Sumrall leaned forward a little and almost shouted this reply, “I didn’t quit!” There you have it—the one constant factor in the lives of people who conquer life. They simply refused to quit. Surrender is not an option for them. Whatever the warfare may be, regardless of what area of life the battle may be in, they have absolutely no quitting sense. Quitting is not an option. I saw a quote the other day that I want to share with you that was shared by a veteran whose company I follow on Facebook.
Crawling is acceptable
Falling is acceptable
Puking is acceptable
Crying is acceptable
Blood is acceptable
Pain is acceptable
You have a Divine purpose for your life, and I am convinced that it is not to be overcome. Our faith, our Christian faith with its doctrines and practices is what overcomes the world but only if you refuse to quit. I do not know what tomorrow is going to hold, but I do know that it will not hold defeat if you refuse to quit.
I call you blessed!
