Celebrations

Dear Church Family,

Greetings in Jesus’ name!

What a powerful week we had earlier this month, honoring and serving veterans. From our Salute to Valor Ceremony, to Military Family Night, and other events that I had the privilege of attending in between, it was a powerful week.

CONTENTMENT

Dear Church Family,

Greetings in Jesus’ name!

On the night I was saved someone told me that in a couple of weeks everything would begin to fall into place. I am very confident they were sincere and, in all fairness, I do not really remember the context they spoke in. I have heard many promises like that one given to people in hopes of prompting them to come to salvation in Christ. While the motive may be “good”, it certainly is not the reality.

Race Conditioning

Dear Church Family,

Greeting in Jesus name!

1 Corinthians 9:24-27

The Christian life is a marathon, not a sprint. In a marathon, it does not really matter how you start; what is important is how you finish. Paul the Apostle speaks of disciplining his body by keeping it under subjection. Much like an athlete makes a commitment to training and watching what they eat, we must commit to spiritual disciplines to make it to the end of this Christian race.

Peace in the Body

Redeeming your Time

Dear Church Family, Greetings in Jesus’ name!

I was thinking this morning about this month's Heart of a Giant Killer and realized that August is upon us. It is not that I have no idea what time of year it is; but when I stop and think about how quickly time seems to pass by, it can be kind of shocking.

Walking Worthily

Dear Church Family, Greetings in Jesus’ name!

Ephesians 4:1 speaks of walking (living) in a manner worthy of the call to salvation. The Amplified Bible says, “...with behavior that is a credit to the summons to God’s service...”. Colossians 1:10 and 1 Thessalonians 2:12 also speak of “walking worthy".

Keys for a Victorious Life

Dear Church Family, Greetings in Jesus’ name!

Charge Life!

Hello Church Family,

Greetings in Jesus’ name!

Life is interesting (not always in the positive sense) with its twists, turns, and uncertainties. I heard someone say that life is ten percent what happens to us and ninety percent how we deal with what happens to us. Life does not always turn out like we hoped or dreamed; but, even at that, life can be a wonderful, exciting experience if we remember the above statement.

Be a Blesser

Greetings in Jesus’ name!

I trust all is well with you and that you are enjoying the blessing and peace of Jesus in this New Year. I believe this will be a great year for those who are determined to be serious about prayer, fasting, study, church, and giving. I am praying for you and believing for God’s victory and strength in your lives.

In 1 Peter 3:9, Peter speaks of being a blessing, or blessing others so that we may inherit a blessing. I want to speak to you about actively looking for a way to be a blessing to others.
