THE POWER OF GRATITUDE

Dear Church Family,

Greetings in Jesus’ name!

November means that the holidays are upon us, as well as the wonderful things that the holidays bring.

At the Altars of God

Dear Church Family,

Greetings in Jesus’ name!

I trust you are enjoying your summer and it is my prayer that you find yourself able to relax and be refreshed.

The altar of the Lord has always been a powerful place of divine communion for God’s people. In Genesis 8:20, the first thing Noah did when the waters had receded and he was able to step foot on dry land was build an altar. Elijah built an altar and fire from heaven consumed the sacrifice he had put on it in his confrontation with the prophets of Baal. I could go on, but I trust you get the point.

The Twisting of Grace

Dear Church Family, Greetings in Jesus’ name!

It is hard to believe that it is the middle of June already. Time seems to be flying by faster than ever. However, I am thoroughly enjoying the sunshine, blue skies, and warm weather - amen!

Patience for Harvest

Dear Church Family, Greetings in Jesus’ name!

Genesis 8:22: While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Seedtime and harvest, or the law of sowing and reaping, condition life. Everything is subject to the law of sowing and reaping. The law of sowing and reaping can work for us or against us.

For Such a Time as This

Dear Church Family,

Greetings in Jesus’ name!

Discord in the Body of Christ

Dear Church Family,

Greetings in Jesus’ name!

The Corinthian church had many issues that Paul dealt with in his epistle to them: irreverence at the communion table, sexual vice, and an apparent confusion between Christianity and the many philosophies that were present in Greek culture.

Working Faith and Patience

Dear Church Family,

Greetings in Jesus' name!
